Things You Can Do For Your Baby Whilst
in the Neonatal Unit
Caring for your baby can be overwhelming. It’s normal to
feel concerned about how to manage wires and tubes and
knowing when to touch or comfort your baby.
You are the most important person to your baby. They recognise your
voice, smell and you can offer them support and reassurance. This section
provides ideas of how you can care for your baby in the neonatal unit.

sucking. Ask your nurse if this is
